English
After five years at Tor Vergata University in Rome – Italy, where I graduated with a degree in Marine Biology, I became an expert in environmental communication and media relations, working as a journalist, information officer and campaign coordinator for national and international organizations, the Italian Ministry of Environment, NGOs and the Information and Communication Centre of the United Nations Environment Programme Mediterranean Action Plan (UNEP/MAP).

At the beginning of my career I worked for six years in applied research for the protection of marine resources and the enhancement of coastal zone areas, as well in rules and integration of artisanal fishery in Italian marine protected areas.

I then moved on to being project coordinator for European LIFE Nature projects for the conservation of the logger-head marine turtle (Caretta caretta) and the bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus). And in 2008 I was communications manager for the oceanographic campaign “Il Veliero dei Delfini” (The dolphin schooner), aimed at the conservation of cetaceans and biodiversity in the Mediterranean Sea (ilvelierodeidelfini.it).

I write as a freelance journalist specializing in environment and wildlife conservation (featuring: National Geographic Italian website, Venerdì – La Repubblica, La Nuova Ecologia and Oasis). During the past years I have been writer and editor of a set of documentaries as well as nature and wildlife conservation programmes broadcasted by the Italian TV Channels LA7 and RAI3.

I currently live in Laguna Niguel, California, and I collaborate as project manager for the Italian Communication Agency Silverback- Greening the communication

I also teach yoga, yoga therapy and body awareness through movement.
